Konnichiwa, Bongu, Bonjour, Hola,! I’m Shay, the founder of Wunderway Travel! I’ve always loved organizing trips, finding unique experiences, and turning big travel ideas into clear, thoughtful plans. With a deep appreciation for intentional travel, I focus on creating itineraries that balance meaningful experiences with smart, budget-conscious planning.

I grew up traveling and rarely visited the same place twice unless we were seeing family in Iowa or Germany. These trips thoughtfully planned by my mom. After high school, I spent three months traveling throughout Germany and Europe, and the love of exploration continued through college while studying abroad. Over time, travel planning became more than something I enjoyed, it became something I became passionate about.

I specialize in helping travelers who feel overwhelmed by the planning process, offering guidance, structure, and clarity every step of the way. From full itinerary design to destination wedding support, my goal is to make travel feel exciting, personal, and stress-free. With encouragement from my husband to turn this passion into something more, Wunderway Travel was created to help others travel with wonder, without the overwhelm.

Planning Support & Logistics Assistant

Hallo, I’m Michelle! I work alongside Shay behind the scenes at Wunderway Travel. I’ve always enjoyed planning, organizing details, and making sure everything runs smoothly, skills that naturally carry over into travel planning and logistical support.

I currently work as a logistics manager for an international company, where I oversee coordination, timelines, and move freight across multiple locations. This professional experience allows me to bring a calm, detail-oriented perspective to Wunderway Travel, helping ensure each itinerary is well thought out, organized, and realistic.

Having planned countless trips over the years, I understand how thoughtful planning can make or break a travel experience. At Wunderway Travel, I support itinerary reviews, logistical planning, and behind-the-scenes organization, providing an extra layer of care and reassurance for our clients.
